Insight Trans Logistics ltd, were appointed alongside Plant Speed ltd and Ainscough Crane Hire to bring the wow factor to the most anticipated film release of 2022.

The team had been appointed with the important task to deliver a full-scale replica of a Eurofighter typhoon, which is a modern fighter jet that has been used in combat during operations in Libya, Iraq and Syria, to central London. This precious and impressive cargo was needed for the display at the premier of Top Gun: Maverick, the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 classic.

The Eurofighter typhoon was to be delivered the flagship Cineworld in the iconic Leicester Square, home of movie premieres and a celebrity hotspot.

An operation of this scale and high profile required precision planning. Insight Trans Logistics had been given the specific time to arrive on site of 02:00am. Arriving at this time meant all the display could be unloaded and the trucks could be out of Leicester Square and Central London before the morning rush hour hit.

All the behind the scenes planning that had been invested in the planning and positioning of the required equipment, proved to be well worth it. The Eurofighter Typhoon subsequently became the perfect backdrop to the event in which leading actor, Tom Cruise, and other Hollywood stars were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and other prestigious guests.

Once the amazing event had taken place, Insight Trans Logistics returned promptly on-site ready for the display to be dismantled. Swiftly and efficiently the jet was loaded back on to the trailers to head back to the storage site, returning Leicester Square back to normal working order and causing minimal disturbance to the area in the process.
